2012 3X3 Illustration Annual

On the back of the success of the Carbon8 ‘Listen’ Calendar, congratulations go to Simon Shaw, Pawel Zawislak and Cinzah Merkens, whose calendar illustrations were accepted into the Self Promotion category of the 3X3 illustration annual competition.

The news is particularly satisfying as four of the Watermark team were recognised in last year’s 3X3 annual.

‘This is an outstanding result in what is one of the most competitive international illustration annuals,’ says Watermark director, Dean Proudfoot .

‘The fact that the number of entries was up on 2011 makes the achievement that much bigger,’  says  Charles Hivel of 3X3.  

The annual competition, run by US-based international publication, is judged by a formidable collection of illustrators and art directors from renowned publications, which this year included The New Yorker, SF Weekly and The Daily Telegraph.

The winners will be displayed in the new annual due later this year.
