The Black Keys

Recently Blair was approached by John Harris from Beyond the Pale. John produces limited edition screen printed gig posters for some of the worlds biggest acts when they tour Australia and New Zealand. So you can imagine how honoured Blair was to be asked to do a poster for The Black Keys Auckland gig.

John was inspired by some of Blair's comic book style character work in his portfolio, and so a theme was set and Blair got to drawing.

The end result is a striking homage to comic books, depicting Pat and Dan of The Black Keys as heroes saving the earth from an unseen foe. It has proven a popular poster with fans, and even made it to 'poster of the day on gigposters.com  a couple of weeks ago.
